Utilizing the latest generation of smart telescopes, which number in the tens of thousands, SkyMapper fosters a new era of collective space data acquisition. It operates as a two-sided marketplace, linking data providers—including individual telescope users and smart telescope networks—with a diverse array of data consumers. These buyers range from scientific institutions and universities to AI researchers, commercial satellite operators, the emerging space industry, governmental bodies, and other entities.
